Pioneer Steam & Gas Engine Society’s 46th Annual Show!
Did you know that Little Mountain Photography is available
for Event Photography?
That’s right! Whether it’s a family or class reunion, an outdoor drama or a company picnic, Little Mountain is available to capture your memories!
As my husband is a long time member of the Pioneer Steam & Gas Engine Society, and I a member by marriage, I have had the privilege of photographing their annual shows each year!
Here’s a little sample of what I was able to see!
First stop: Dee Dee Acres Mini Barn!
Where the littlest horses are clean & sweet!
There’s almost always a new addition, whether it’s a new mini foal
or a sweet mini “kid” goat just a few months old!
Then there’s the noon whistle that blows to signal
the parade’s about to start!
See your favorite Steam Engines & Tractors as they come down the track,
while our announcer Blake Malkamaki shares
a little bit of history about these great machines!
And it’s on to the Blacksmith shop, where Brian Wedekind and his fellow
blacksmiths demonstrate their skills creating artwork out of red hot steel!
And lets not forget the kiddies!
PS&GE Society hosts a number of children’s games
up at Dee Dee Acres Barn and there’s
a kiddie tractor pull & children’s play area
just for them!
There’s a PS&GE Sweetheart Pageant with many titles from
Tiny Miss Sweetheart (age 3-5yrs) to
Golden Sweetheart age 60+
This year’s Golden Sweetheart went to our club’s practical joker
Dean, who had a great time stealing the crown!
Our antique tractor pulls start shortly after the parade
on Saturdays & Sundays. A real crowd pleaser &
a great way for our pullers to earn bragging rights!
Head on up the hill to the Ladies Antique & Collectables
and learn how to make homemade butter or spin some wool!
There’s all kinds of collections to see from an old printing press
to antique kitchen utensils!
Or maybe you’ll learn how to make your own candles!
There’s great music, country bands & great food!
Stop in at Steamers Ridge for some homemade Bean Soup
or get some nice cool Ice Cream at the club’s Ice Cream Stand,
just to name a few great choices!
There’s so much more!
Threshing Demonstrations, a working Saw Mill
powered by a Steam Engine, a Flea Market, Tractor games,
a machine shop, antique cars & trucks
and LOTS of engines on display!
There’s just so much to see and do in one weekend
that I can’t get it all on here!
